Time for another call for submissions for three new anthologies!

Twisted Dreams Press is thrilled to open submissions to the following anthologies:

Behind the Tape: Urban Crime Thriller Stories

Danger lurks at every corner. Hard-boiled detectives, corrupt cops and gritty gangsters haunt the streets, ready to tackle their next case or their next victim. The stories in this anthology will keep you on the edge of your seat as you are taken into the unforgiving underbelly of the city’s worst savages.

Deadline: December 31, 2026

A Quiet Horror: An Anthology of Slow-Burn Horror

Sometimes, things are not what they appear to be. The kind woman who turns out to be a serial killer. The antique item that holds a terrible power. Then there are the monsters lurking where we can’t see them. The stories in this anthology offer the kind of scares that readers never see coming. From psychological horror to slow-burn horror that will grab readers by the throat at the end, the stories in this anthology will haunt and delight fans of light horror stories.

Deadline: December 31, 2026

We Exist! An Anthology of Fiction and Poetry by Marginalized Writers

Twisted Dreams Press is thrilled to announce a call for a new anthology celebrating marginalized voices. In an age where classist, wealthy, straight and able-bodied people seem to obtain more power and control in situations where marginalized people are not welcome or accepted, we need more marginalized writers to have the chance at having their work published.

Just what exactly is a marginalized group? The following categories consist of individuals who are considered to be marginalized:

  • Women
  • Individuals who identify as part of the LGBTQA25+ community
  • Individuals who are neurodiverse
  • BIPOC writers
  • Individuals in low-income families
  • Individuals with disabilities
  • Individuals with a chronic illness
  • Migrant and refugee writers

If you fall into any one of the groups, we want to read your poetry and fiction!

Please submit up to ten pages of poems and fiction of any genre that is 2K-10K words. You may submit one or both kinds of writing. Keep your poetry and fiction in separate documents.

Deadline: December 31, 2026

Publication of all three anthologies will be in 2027.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT ALL SUBMISSIONS:

We will not accept any writing which glorifies or promotes hate or violence to people in marginalized communities.

No SA or rape, especially anything involving a character under the age of 18. While we are open to anything sexually explicit, we do not want it to include children or even implied that sexual acts were done to children.
